Luis Vidal studied architecture at the University of Greenwich (London, UK) where he graduated with honors in 1994, and being elected a full member of the RIBA in 1995. He specialized mainly in airports and transport infrastructures.

From 1998 to 2001, he was part time professor in projects and design at Madrid’s University (ETSAM). In 1994 he joins Lamela Architects (LA) becoming partner in 2000 and Managing Director between 1999 and 2003. During this stage of his career, Vidal was Project Director of the New Terminal for Madrid Barajas Airport -T4-, from the origin in 1996 right to the end in 2003. He also was co-author and Director of the new Warsaw International Airport as well as another 14 airport projects, six of which turned out to be winners of the first prize in International Competitions.
