Lina Toro (b.1978 Ibagué, Colombia) graduated with honors at UPB Medellín in 2001, acknowledged by the RIBA. MArch degree by Ministry of Education of Spain in 2007.
She is principal at linatoro.arch (2014-) and one-third of dosmasunoarquitectos (2003-2013). She has been prized in 28 national and international competitions. Among her built work: ‘102 dwellings in Carabanchel, Madrid’, ‘Social Services Center in Mostoles’.
She is the co-editor-in-chief of ‘Arquitectos’ Magazine (2006-2013), issued by the National Architects Association in Spain (indexed in the Avery Hall Library). She co-directed and co-curated the monographic cycle ‘Monoespacios’, held by the Architects Association of Madrid (2004-2007), and columnist of architecture at TurnOnArt, in Ivorypress (2013-).
She is associated professor at the Architectural Design Department of the Madrid Polytechnic ETSAM and at the IE School of Architecture in the IE University. She is PhD Candidate and member of the ‘Emergent Practices in Architecture’ research group, at Madrid Polytechnic ETSAM.
